Vice President, Marketing

The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for representing DMT and DMT’s products in existing and new market places. You will design, develop and execute effective product, brand and communication strategies for North American and European Markets. This includes go-to-market strategies of new R&D initiatives, and fueling the rollout of DMT’s existing product portfolio in new jurisdictions. Working closely with the Senior Vice-President of Canadian Sales, President & CEO, and market leaders, the VP of Marketing will establish and execute media strategies. You will work closely with other pillars of the organization (IT, OEM Sales, Dealer Sales & Support) to ensure market and product positioning is in alignment with efforts at large, and that corporate brand standards prevail through client facing materials (proposals, presentations and training material). 


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Product and Market Positioning

  • Gaining a deep understanding of DMT’s business, product solutions and corporate culture to ensure all marketing activities are in alignment with DMT’s business strategy
  • Develop and implement an ongoing marketing strategy within all key geographic jurisdictions
  • Lead the development and management of all product marketing materials for both online and print publications
  • Research competitors, competing products, and their pricing strategies in current and emerging markets. Leverage this research for product positioning
  • Perform market segmentation, targeting & positioning for each solution area, vertical and geography as required
  • Develop strategies for, and manage the execution of promotional events (industry and human capital)

Brand Standards and Corporate Content

  • With collaboration from others, create content for the corporate website, trade shows, and other collateral
  • Responsible for managing, controlling, and enforcing the company brand identity and guidelines in corporate presentations, proposal, training materials and other artifacts
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of all corporate literature and templates to be used in company capability presentations, proposals, training materials and other client facing documents and deliverables
  • Responsible for the development and management of all product collateral to be used by the Dealer Sales and OEM sales teams

General Management

  • Manage marketing spend to developed plans and annual budgets
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of all marketing activities with established KPI’s
  • Work with DMT’s internal creative technology team and outside marketing and branding firms in support of the above activities and on special projects


  • Liaise with third party partners in the development of marketing plans and materials used in support of the partnership
  • Liaise with our internal teams and external press team for the creation and development corporate press releases, advertising/media work and other public relations activity
  • Conceptualize, develop and implement corporate social media activities and programs to support client interaction

Skill Set

You are an experienced marketing professional that brings a flare for implementing creative, yet consistent, programs that attracts an audience to the key differentiators of DMT and our product set. You:

  • are creative, driven, and passionate;
  • excel working as part of a collaborative team;
  • have excellent interposal, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • excel in a proactive, vibrant and ever-evolving IT Solutions company;
  • are experienced in B2B marketing
  • are able to govern, lead and inspire team members who are not your immediate reports;
  • possess superb analytical and creative skills;
  • possess core marketing and innovation capabilities;
  • have an Undergraduate Degree in Marketing or related discipline or 15+ years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience;
  • have 5+ years of experience in a leadership role;
  • have strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • are able to travel within Canada, to the United States and abroad; and
  • are driven to excel in a fun and motivated team environment.
