DMT Development Systems Group Inc. (“DMT”) provides leading edge software solutions and information systems (the “DMT Services”) for automotive manufacturers and automotive retailers (the “Clients”).

DMT is committed to protecting all personal information that is collected, used and disclosed while conducting its business. This privacy policy describes the practices and procedures employed by DMT to safeguard the information within its possession. 

Retail consumers or individuals who access the DMT Services through one of our Clients’ websites or portals (or through a third party merchant site) are subject to different privacy policies and practices. If you submit personal information to one of those sites, your information will be governed by the privacy policies and terms of use found on those particular websites. Individuals should familiarize themselves with the privacy policies and practices of those particular organizations. DMT does not control the use, disclosure or retention of personal information collected at those sites.


What information does DMT collect?

When you browse our website located at www.dmt.global (our “Site”), we collect non-personal information which enables us to improve the overall functionality and appeal of our Site. This non-personal information is aggregated to provide statistical information relating to all Site visitors. Types of non-personal information collected includes, but is not limited to: your IP address, your IP service provider, type of device used to access our Site, country of origin, pages visited and duration of time spent on individual pages.

To further improve your user experience and to provide browser and usage statistics, DMT will attempt to install a cookie on your web-enabled device. This cookie will reside indefinitely on your device and will be updated with your web browsing activities on our Site from time to time. You have the option of removing, refusing or blocking cookies by editing the settings on your web browser.

Should you decide to contact us via email or telephone to request the DMT Services and/or further information relating to our company, we may collect information from you including, but not limited to: your name, title, address, telephone number, email address, name of your business and/or type of business you conduct. The collection of this information enables DMT to better tailor responses to your request for information and to serve its customers. The decision to provide personal information is voluntary and is not necessary to view or access the information contained on our Site.


How does DMT use the information?

DMT’s use of personal information is restricted to the purpose of responding to inquiries and/or providing the DMT Services to our Clients. These services include, but are not limited to: 

  • providing maintenance and on-going support of the DMT Services;
  • improving our software solutions products;
  • prospecting and addressing leads on behalf of our Clients;
  • identifying customer opportunities and providing product information on behalf of our Clients; and
  • managing and delivering our business and operations.


Who does DMT share the information with?

DMT does not sell or trade personal information to any third parties except with the consent of the individual and/or Client to whom the information belongs.

From time to time, DMT may share your personal information with third parties who assist us in providing the DMT Services and/or process data on our behalf. These third parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only use your information for the limited purpose for which they are retained by DMT. Some of our third party service providers may be located in jurisdictions outside of Canada. In this regard, your personal information may be subject to the laws of the foreign jurisdiction and accessible to law enforcement officials by virtue of court order, subpoena or other legal process.

DMT may also be permitted or compelled by law, court order and/or other regulation to disclose or produce personal information. In these circumstances, DMT will disclose the least amount of personal information needed to comply with such law and/or court order.

DMT has established physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, use or modification. 

Only those authorized DMT employees who have a business reason to access personal information shall be given access. Employees are trained on security procedures and provided with updates as needed on a regular basis.

DMT has implemented processes to address the security measures necessary to protect DMT’s software solutions and applications, as well as our Clients’ information. DMT utilizes current technology to monitor and track these environments and applications. As an organization, DMT continues to invest in ensuring our environments and applications are secure. 

DMT will only retain and use personal information as long as is necessary for its business purposes or for as long as needed to provide the Services to our Clients, or as required by applicable law.


Access to Personal Information

DMT values your privacy and is committed to responding in a timely fashion to any inquiries or concerns you may have with respect to our privacy policies and practices.

You have the right to request further information from DMT relating to any personal information within our possession. DMT will process any requests to access, update, modify and/or remove personal information in a prompt and timely manner.
